Introduction
Welcome to Parking on Pearson. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our campground facilities and services located in Cromwell, Central Otago, New Zealand.
By making a booking or using our facilities, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.
Bookings and Reservations
Making a Booking
- Bookings can be made through our website enquiry form, email, or phone
- All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Parking on Pearson
- A booking is only confirmed once you receive written confirmation from us
- Minimum age for making a booking is 18 years
Payment Terms
- Payment methods and deposit requirements will be communicated at the time of booking
- Full payment may be required in advance for certain bookings
- Failure to make payment by the due date may result in cancellation of your booking
- Rates are subject to change without notice, but confirmed bookings honor the agreed rate
Cancellations and Refunds
- Cancellations must be made in writing (email acceptable)
- Cancellations made 7+ days before arrival: Full refund or credit
- Cancellations made 3-6 days before arrival: 50% refund
- Cancellations made less than 3 days before arrival or no-shows: No refund
- We reserve the right to modify cancellation terms for peak seasons
Check-in and Check-out
- Check-in: From 2:00 PM (or as arranged)
- Check-out: By 11:00 AM (or as arranged)
- Early check-in or late check-out may be available upon request and subject to additional charges
- Guests must report to the office upon arrival to complete registration
Guest Responsibilities and Conduct
Guests are expected to:
- Respect other guests and maintain reasonable noise levels, especially during quiet hours (10:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Keep sites and facilities clean and tidy
- Dispose of rubbish in designated areas
- Supervise children at all times
- Keep pets under control at all times (if pets are permitted)
- Comply with all campground rules and staff instructions
- Report any damage or maintenance issues immediately
Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Unlawful behavior or activities
- Excessive noise or disruptive behavior
- Use of open fires (unless designated fire pits are provided)
- Damage to property or facilities
- Commercial activities without prior written approval
- Unauthorized use of electrical equipment or overloading power supplies
Vehicle and Equipment Storage
- Vehicles must be parked in designated areas only
- Speed limit within the campground is 10 km/h
- Long-term storage arrangements must be agreed in writing
- We accept no liability for damage to or theft of vehicles, caravans, boats, or equipment stored on site
- Stored items must be roadworthy, registered (where applicable), and properly secured
Liability and Insurance
- Guests use campground facilities at their own risk
- We are not liable for personal injury, property damage, or loss of personal belongings except where caused by our negligence
- Guests are responsible for damage caused to campground property or facilities
- We strongly recommend guests maintain appropriate travel and personal property insurance
- Parents/guardians are responsible for the safety and behavior of children in their care
Right to Refuse Service
We reserve the right to:
- Refuse service or terminate bookings at any time for breach of these Terms
- Remove guests who engage in unlawful, dangerous, or disruptive behavior
- No refund will be provided for terminations due to guest misconduct
Emergency Procedures
- In case of emergency, dial 111 (Police, Fire, Ambulance)
- Report all emergencies to campground management immediately
- Familiarize yourself with emergency exits and assembly points
- Follow staff instructions during emergency situations
Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By making a booking, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our facilities after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, or government restrictions.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of our facilities shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
